FOOD DISTRIBUTION – COVID 19 CRISIS 

Beginning March 10, 2020, R Church and Roatan Mission have organized a Food Distribution to multiple areas on the island that are the hardest hit by this crisis. $10 purchases a bag of food that can support a family for up to two weeks. All tourism has stopped and the island is on lockdown with no Coronavirus cases but also no income for the very poor population. We estimate over 30,000 people on the island are without work and without means to purchase even the basis food supplies. 

 

AREAS OF DISTRIBUTION:
SANDY BAY – Calvary Chapel - Central location for food donations and distribution

ROATAN DUMP MINISTRY: Weekly distribution to families and children working at the dump

COXEN HOLE – THE SWAMP – Poorest area in Coxen Hole – Distributing weekly through local ministry

CRISTO REY CHURCH PLANT – Colonia Balfate
